I began studying violin at age 5 in the Suzuki Method in Hurst, Texas. I studied with Robert Davidovici (Juilliard/Galamian) in high school. Davidovici gave me the gift of strong technique and full sound. In the summer I attended Meadowmount Conservatory and studied with Sally Thomas. I played with Fort Worth Symphony by age 16. I have performed with Willie Nelson, kd Lang, Kiri te Kanawa, and Christopher Parkening. I attended Harvard and graduated with an English degree, cum laude.

My first professional wedding was at age 14, and I still remember it clearly. The couple got married in their own backyard and honeymooned in their treehouse. The bride wanted "You're in My Heart, You're in My Soul" by Rod Stewart for a processional. I still feel happy for this bride. I took a great deal of pride in purchasing sheet music and learning the song for her and have been playing weddings ever since.

I promise to treat your wedding as if it were my own. I also offer competitive pricing. I do not wish to brag, but I bring a wealth of experience to the table that you rarely find anywhere (even NYC). I have played in several wedding bands, rock bands, and strolling venues, so I know several genres of music. I have the willingness to bring extra work, heart, and time to your wedding. (I once wrote a love poem made out of song titles and played it as a medley for one of my Cape May brides!) I have done a copious amount of music research and have binders full of everything your heart desires (please see note below).

I am happy to learn new songs, bring in other musicians for that unique sound, and put myself on the line as a musician for your wedding. I don't care how many times I've played the Pachelbel's Canon, I always feel that it is for YOU. And this attitude, plus the training level and commitment, is what sets me apart. I'm really not in this for the money, although everyone has got to eat in this world. I'm in this because I passionately LOVE playing music to make people happy.

I would be honored to play for your wedding or special event, so please call or email me anytime!

For weddings/events, I have learned the following types of music:

4 hours Irish/Scottish,
4 hours Country/Bluegrass,
4 hours Colonial (all pre-1800),
1 hour Bollywood (I have frequent requests for the song list, so please click here)
3 hours 1920s jazz,

1 hour R&B,
4 hours Big Band/Motown,
1 hour Bob Marley.

Again, who does this? I am the only one that I know of, and thinking through the NYC violinists that I know, they might do ONE category! I am able to write and arrange music as well. I am happy and proud when clients request things; please give me some notice but please don't be shy!

(P.S. If you would like to book me for your wedding, please contact me directly. I promise to bring only the most professional, qualified musicians with me if you would like a larger group. Thank you!)
